Couples Counseling
Couples therapy is a form of psychotherapy aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering deeper emotional connections. At Central Ohio Wellness Collective, we understand that every relationship experiences challenges. Whether you’re facing communication issues, conflict, emotional distance, or other struggles, our couples therapy services are designed to help you and your partner build a stronger, healthier bond. Whether you're navigating a specific problem, looking to rebuild or strengthen your relationship, or investing in problem prevention - our therapists offer a safe, non-judgmental space where both partners can express their thoughts and feelings openly.
Couples seek therapy for a variety of reasons, which may include:

-
Affair recovery/infidelity
-
Financial Challenges
-
Difficulty with life transitions
-
Navigating separation/divorce
-
Poor communication
-
Increased conflict/poor conflict resolution
-
Trauma recovery
-
Blended family issues
-
Intimacy problems
-
Parenting conflicts
-
Life transitions (e.g., marriage, having children, or career changes)
Our therapists use evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Therapy to help couples reconnect and heal. We focus on:
-
Improved communication: Learn how to express yourself openly and listen to your partner’s perspective with empathy.
-
Conflict resolution: Discover practical tools for navigating disagreements and reducing tension.
-
Strengthening emotional bonds: Build trust, intimacy, and a deeper sense of partnership.
-
Goal setting: Work towards shared goals, whether it's improving your daily interactions or working through long-standing issues.

Important note about couples & family counseling:
We can not guarantee that couples or family counseling sessions will be able to be billed to your insurance company. After your therapist completes your diagnostic evaluation, we will be able to determine if your diagnosis and treatment plan meet the requirements established by insurance companies for reimbursement. If your couples sessions cannot be billed to insurance, your therapist will discuss out-of-pocket (self-pay) rates for services.
